Fear…looking at a situation, mentally weighing the pros & cons, and without ever reaching the finish line, you immediately believe the worse. Fear imprisons creativity, mobility, spirituality, advancement, and originality. Fear kills all of your progress before you ever cross the starting line. Fear is a LIAR!
It only appears when you are about to move forward. Fear is like the crabs in the bucket, who pull you back every time you get further ahead than they. When you feel the scaly claws of fear creeping up, look at the situation. Then mentally or physically create a list of pros and cons and accept both the worse of the cons and the best of the pros as being possible… Now ask yourself, what is the worse that can happen? What is the best that can happen?
Accept both as being possible. Once you verbalize them both, fear slowly lose its hold. Fear only exists when we only look at the worse. Fear is not without purpose, though. I use it as a perverse cheerleader who only tells me what can’t be done, then I take what she says and tell her thanks for announcing what WILL be done.
